It took longer than expected, but Versus City has been finally given the much-needed overhaul. A summary of changes are listed below:

Versus City

[*]Virtua Fighter board renamed to Junky's Jungle. This board is for both general and gameplay related Virtua Fighter discussions. Junky's Jungle originates from the old Gamest/Arcadia Mook articles on VF (the players, culture, etc) just in case you were wondering.
[*]Q&A is gone. The contents of the Q&A board have been moved into the relevant Help Center board (see below).
Help Center (NEW)

[*]Character and Technique Training is a new board for advice on Characters or learning how to perform various commands and techniques.
[*]Console is another new board specific to everything related to the home console version of Virtua Fighter, covering topics such as game modes and features, joysticks, and save and replay files..
[*]Kumite is an extension of the Console board dealing with questions and answers regarding Virtua Fighter 4's Kumite mode, Rankings, and Items.
Administration

[*]Site Updates will inform of any minor updates to the site and existing documents.
[*]Questions and Feedback can be used by all registered users to ask questions, notify of problems and provide feedback on the site.
The other boards have been left as they are, and a link to the new is available from the Main Index for convenience. You'll also notice the additon of the <a...
Versus City will be closed for approximately 2 to 3 hours this coming Friday, 29th March, 2002, for maintenance. Please refer to the below for the scheduled down time:

Los Angeles, Vancouver

0000 hrs

New York, Toronto

0300 hrs

United Kingdom

0800 hrs

Singapore

1600 hrs

Seoul, Tokyo

1700 hrs

Sydney, Melbourne

1900 hrs

The Version C Command Lists for all the characters will become available over the coming days, so head on over to the Character sections and click on the Version C link for the Command List. Version B Command Lists are still available.

The data available in the VFDC Ver.C Command Lists include name, command, damage, hit level, reversal class, execution frames, guard, hit and counter (MC) hit frame difference, escape direction, and relevant notes. These Command Lists are based off the data in the Blue Book. Clickable column headings allow for sorting.

All Characters complete:

Aoi | Jeffry | Lau | Lion | Sarah | Vanessa | Wolf
Pop quiz: You're up against Lau in the finals. There's a VF4 Arcade machine (among other, equally insane prizes) at stake. It's the last round of the deciding match, and you've just escaped his f+P+G throw. What do you do?

Well, if you stood there guarding, waiting for the 529th PPPd+K, and failed to guard the d+K again and lose the match, then you really should read this Throw Escape Chart.

And then torture yourself for the rest of your life with the knowledge that you had a finals-winning counter throw guaranteed against Lau!

Special thanks to SummErs for putting the original chart together!
A preliminary Dural Command List is now available on VFDC, under the VF4 section for the time being. Originally taken from Weekly Famitsu (2002/3/1), it's still lacking in damage values, reversal levels, and other data, so any help to fill those out would be greatly appreciated.

Does Dural warrant her own Character section? Or can all Dural related information live happily under the VF4 section? Please let me know in this thread.
Thanks to mao2 (from GameFAQs), with his permission I've taken his Rankings guide and given it the VFDC treatment. This should answer many questions to those not sure of how it all works, as well as serve as a useful reference for translating the Japanese characters used to denote the rank.

The document can be found under the VF4 section..
This latest document, The System of Break Falling, aims to explain the mechanics, properties and risks of the two types of Break Falling techniques -- Quick Rising and Tech Rolling.
Is the Dojo craze sweeping the nation? Ken of Versus City proudly presents his training manual for the fighting monk, the Lei Fei Dojo. Be sure to check it out!
Still coming to grips with Virtua Fighter 4? There are two new documents available under the Sabaki attacks and Evading. So, if you're unsure on the mechanics of Sabaki attacks, or Evading, then be sure to read them up.
I'm pleased to (finally) announce the opening of the following sections on VFDC:

[*]Media - an index to VF media sites
[*]Events - an archive of past, present and future VF related events
[*]IRC - information on how to chat with other VFers
[*]Links - an index to VF related and various other sites
[*]About Us - just in case you don't know what the site is about
Comments, suggestions and feedback are welcomed. If you run a VF site, let me know so I can put it in the Links section.
