Folks, Seiji Aoki says he wants to try something new in 2024. First he has been involved with VF for a long time. He worked on it before VF5US. So when Aoki says "I would like to challenge myself to do things I have never experienced before" He's probably not including VF

I honestly don't want to see a bleak future for VF. I'm desperately trying to have hopium But it seems like Sega/RGG Studios are only looking at the Virtua Fighter series as a money grab They want to ride the reputation of Virtua Fighter from the 90's and early 2000's and not really make any new serious investment in the Virtua Fighter series. It appears they want to invest $100 and get back $100,000. Of course the point of business is to make a profit. But ideally the customer also gets their money worth

if Sega/RGG was trying to do this thing legit, VF5US would have been at least a full port of VF5FS (at the very least) But it was a watered down VF5FS. The fact that we ended up with Tekken skins, Tekken music, a Tekken UI and Tekken-like-hit-sparks demonstrates that VF5US was not about the VF fans. It shows that VF5US was just the beginning of a Virtua Fighter money grab infrastructure.

I truly hope that this is not the case. But I fear this is the case. For instance patch 1.50 adds in game advertisement infrastructure to Virtua Fighter

RGG's major focuses are the Yakuza series, the Judgment Series, and Like a Dragon Ishin. On the other hand it appears that the Virtua Fighter Series is just a vending machine money grab in the hotel lobbies of the gaming world
